Opportunity Impact is always looking for more dedicated volunteers to come work with our students. We ask that volunteers be able to commit one day per week (3 hours/day) for at least three months.

During the school year (September - June) we need volunteers to help tutor during the hours of 3-6pm. Summer volunteers (July - August) can help out any time from 10am-5pm. Early morning, weekend and evening activities are minimal.

Office support is needed in the areas of IT support, financial management, marketing/public relations and fundraising. Contact our Executive Director to learn more about these opportunities.

College (and high school) students can apply to intern for school/class credit. Current partnerships exist already with University of San Francisco. Social workers, Psychologists, Therapists, Teachers and a select number of other specialists can get supervised hours to help them get licensed.

Many companies like to spend a day out of the office helping out. If you would like to make arrangements for your company to spend the day at Opportunity Impact, please contact us at least 30 days in advance of the date and we'll be happy to help you plan a special day for everyone.

Rock Star Volunteers

Keith Berquist and Evan Galante

Teaching the kids at Opportunity Impact to play guitar is how Keith and Evan, both 16 years old and entering grade 11 at St. Ignatius College, are spending their summer. Keith comes in almost every day to play music with the kids, coach kickball, and work with our youth on life skills. The boys purchased four brand new guitars for OI, and plan to fundraise to pay for them. Big thanks to our rockstar volunteers Keith and Evan!
